Our core fund range service

SIG's 'Core Fund Range' offers unrivalled access to a range of fully researched and endorsed funds. The new service complements Skandia's existing Open Architecture platforms and MultiManager offerings.

• The Core Fund Range consists of 275 funds from over 100 fund groups which have passed SIG's '4-P' standard.

• The '4-P' standard is rigorously applied, through qualitative and quantitative analysis, to identify managers that are 'best of breed' and have the edge in their asset classes and segments. It focuses on philosophy, process, people and performance.

• SIG's Core Fund Range provides a valuable service to financial advisers and distributors who wish to outsource some aspects of investment research, comfortable in the knowledge that around 50 analysts and portfolio managers are closely monitoring each of the 275 funds on their behalf.

• The Core Fund Range was developed after around 1,700 meetings with over 200 different fund management groups around the world.

• SIG is confident that high-quality fund management groups will benefit from the development of its Core Fund Range given that a concentrated range will ultimately result in greater fund flows and assets under management.

• The Core Fund Range has to date been launched in Continental Europe, Scandinavia and Latin America.
